Dylan Bickerstaffe is still trying to trace a photograph of this shabti, shown in this drawing – Plate XCI by Lancelot Crane, from Theodore Davis’ The Tombs of Harmhabi and Touatankhamanou (London 1912).
The figure is 23.5 cm high and numbered CCG 60472.
If anybody has a photograph, Dylan would be very appreciative! I have reposted so that the new drawing is obvious. Dylan believes it was on display in the Cairo Museum in a cabinet of selected ‘choice’ items, upstairs near the front. It was one of the cabinets recently broken into – but it isn’t an item reported stolen.

I think we’ve got one (not up on site yet) but not with that CCG number. It’s the calcite shabti from KC 58 though…
Thanks. Dylan has now made contact with you I understand.
Not reported stolen ? I am glad somebody has missed it . Question is : Why it has not been reported missing and who should have known it was ??
There is no suggestion Les that it has been stolen – we believe from the lists published by SCA/MSAA that it should still be in the Egyptian Museum. Dylan wishes a photo for more traditional research purposes. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.
