The Thutmose III Ring is also known as the Ashburnham Ring, EA19.

Sorry for the link size. Stuart
Or a shorter version: http://bit.ly/orKCol
Apologies for a non Egyptological aside, but for anyone who hasn’t discovered this yet, it’s worth mentioning the usefulness of http://www.snipurl.com for shortening long links – thanks for the info on the ring Stuart! It is a beauty.
Other options for providing short links are http://bitly.com/, which we use on Egyptological, and http://tinyurl.com, which I use on the Egyptology News blog.
My pleasure Barbara. Thanks to you and to Andie for the “how to shortern links” advice. I will use one or more of the sites mentioned in future posts here and on my blog.
I must say that i have found Egyptological REALLY useful so far. Whether its shortening links, creating an (gr)Avatar, general information- i am getting a lot out of this site. “Long Live Egyptological” :)
Re: Head of Amenhotep III: Is this the real one or the resin one fashioned by the BM to match?
Hi Robert – this is an original. See:

Thanks for the comments. Some of the photos from the BM did come out too dark, which was a disappointment, but i will go back and re-take those photos at a later date.
I thought the labelling would be a good research resource for anyone wishing to learn more about the individual artifacts – for thanks for mentioning it Barbara.
As for the TIII ring- i have my eye on that too!! It’s a beauty.
Stuart.
I’ve got to see that collection some day. I would love to have a replica of that ring as well.
Nice photos!
Very good photos. Some of them a little bit dark or slightly out of focous.
Thank you very much. Avendano.
Really clear photos Stuart! And clear labelling too. Very helpful!
