‘The Welshpool Mummy: How research is really done’.
In the 1960, the Borough Council of Welshpool, Powys presented the cartonnage of Meresamun, Chantress of Amun, to the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. What was an Egyptian mummy doing in a small town in the middle of Wales? An account of how a research topic can be found in the most unexpected places and how frustrating research can be.
